Marker fingers. You’re a teacher, so you know what that phrase indicates, even if you’ve never used it. It means you come home with a Jackson Pollack painting of whiteboard inks staining your hands. And if you’re an elementary teacher who’s found specks of glitter behind your ear, you have a special place in our hearts.
Needless to say, such occurrences are occupational hazards. But that’s not to say you don’t have a memorable fashion sense. Perhaps non-teacher folk (sometimes we call them muggles) don’t realize that when we educators save the world, we do so with some serious style.
