Renew Your License
Renewal requirements as of September 16, 2024, allow an educator to renew their license with 90 clock hours of continuing education, 6 semester credits, or a combination of clock hours or semester credits.Â
Licenses issued prior to September 16, 2024, must earn 15 hours per year and can be earned any time during the licensure period.
Credit Conversion
Professional development and FLEX courses provide 1 hour of professional development for every 1 hour of engagement.
- 10 hour PD course = 10 hoursÂ
- FLEX (1-Credit) course = 15 hours
Graduate-level, continuing education credits provide 15 hours of professional development per credit.
Each Teaching Channel with Learners Edge 3-credit course requires approximately 45 hours for course completion.
Teaching Channel with Learners Edge professional development and FLEX credit courses can be used to meet your renewal requirements.

Teaching Channel with Learners Edge graduate level, continuing education courses can also be used to complete renewal hours and work toward salary advancement.
