Our Courses Elevate Teaching
Designed with a goal of impact and applicability in the classroom, Teaching Channel has designed 300+ courses supporting classroom instruction for PK-12+ educators. Courses provide a dynamic balance of knowledge-building and skill-building opportunities, followed by practical application and integration into professional practice. Each self-paced course features research-based materials, video clips, and interactive elements to enhance and support learning. A built in discussion forum allows participants to engage in meaningful dialogue and learn from educators across the country.
Our Process is Focused on Quality
Courses are created and evaluated by educators with a master’s degree or higher in an education-related field and five or more years of classroom experience in PreK-12th grade education. Course evaluators provide personalized, specific feedback for assignments and rubric-based grading aligned with best practices in professional education.
Like you, we believe in continuous improvement. Each course is reviewed annually, informed by participant feedback, current research available on the topic, insights from our University Partners, and new opportunities to show learning through implementation.
About Our Courses
How long does it typically take educators to complete a course?
We understand that online learning and training is designed to be flexible and work with your schedule. However, to maintain the integrity of our courses and the online educational experience, Teaching Channel and its university partners have specific completion timelines.
Participants may register for and complete up to 15 credits during a single term. In order to fully absorb the content of each online course, learners must spend a minimum of 9 unique calendar days actively engaged in each course before submission is available for the final module.
How Enrollment Requirements Work:
- The 9-day requirement applies individually to each course.
- When taking multiple courses, the required timelines run consecutively, not concurrently.
- Course timelines begin on the date of enrollment.
- Please note multiple orders made within 45 days could be impacted by learning requirements.
- The 9-calendar-day minimum enrollment period does not include instructor feedback time.
- Instructor feedback may take up to 7 calendar days from the date of learner submission.
- For example, if you are enrolled in two courses, you must spend a minimum of 18 total calendar days in your coursework (at least 9 unique focused calendar days per course).
How Dynamic Active Course Submission Dates Update In Accordance With Enrollment Requirements:
- Upon submission of the final module and/or knowledge check for an active course, the final module submission date for all remaining active courses will automatically update to the next available submission date.
- All remaining active courses will update to the next available and earliest eligible submission date. For registrations of 3 or more courses this process will continue as courses are completed.
These guidelines are established by Teaching Channel and our university partners to maintain the academic integrity, pacing, and quality of the online learning experience while still providing the flexibility of self-paced coursework and cannot be altered or changed to allow early submission and completion ahead of the minimum enrollment requirement.
Are the courses fully online, or is there an in-person component?
All courses are delivered online and facilitated by credentialed evaluators with extensive classroom experience (at least a master’s degree) and deep expertise in the course content area.
Participants engage with high-quality multimedia resources, embedded interactives, and discussion opportunities designed to encourage collaboration and reflection. Evaluators review written submissions and provide personalized, standards-based feedback to support educators’ professional growth and application of learning.
Do educators apply what they learn directly in their classrooms?
Yes. Application is a required component of every course.
Our professional learning model is grounded in adult learning principles and designed to help educators connect new learning directly to classroom practice. Participants create classroom-ready materials, design and implement enhanced lessons, develop action plans, and collaborate with colleagues to apply strategies within their current instructional settings.
This ensures course completion reflects authentic instructional practice, not simply knowledge of theory.

Educators may also create personalized learning plans by selecting courses aligned to their professional goals, certification needs, or career advancement interests.

Our continuing education courses are approved by regionally accredited (HLC, NECHE, and WSCUC) partners. Many of our university partners also hold CAEP accreditation. In partnership, university partners review all continuing education course syllabi, course content, and coursework expectations. If courses don’t meet the university’s expectations, revisions are made to meet the required rigor.
