Graduate-Level Courses for License Renewal and Salary Advancement

1. Meet your Ohio license renewal requirements AND move toward salary advancement with the completion of 6 graduate-level credits.

2. The SWCS recommends selecting American College of Education as your associated university partner. 

3. Browse Teaching Channel courses to select the courses that work best for you. Teaching Channel’s self-paced, degree-eligible graduate courses are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing teachers to grow at their own pace while gaining practical, classroom-ready strategies that enhance both teaching and learning.

  • You can also view courses that are Ohio-approved for teachers who have reading and/or phonics limitations on their licenses. 

4. Official electronic transcripts must be sent directly from the university to the district contact shown below. 

  • Salary Advancement: Send transcripts to Vivian Hammond (Personnel)
    Licensure: Send transcripts to Alison Tobias (LPDC) 

Please note: If you are using graduate credit for both salary advancement and licensure, please send transcripts to one of the above contacts and send an email requesting that the transcripts are shared with the other department.

5. Tuition Reimbursement: send transcripts to [email protected] 

You must also send payment verification and a completed PERS 608 form to Tuition Reimbursement at DSC or drop off the forms directly at DSC.

Exceptional value, complete flexibility. To submit a certificate for CEUs, follow the Frontline process for an Individual PD Request. Contact Alison Tobias with questions.  CEUs only count toward license renewal requirements, and cannot be reimbursed or submitted for salary advancement.  CEUs for Hub Resources Certificated staff members can earn CEUs for podcasts and webinars found in the Teaching Channel Hub by submitting an Individual PD Request in Frontline Professional Growth and completing the LPDC Webinar Log and Reflection Form.
