Technology and Teaching

For today’s 21st century learners, technology and teaching go hand-in-hand. According to the U.S. Department of Education, “Technology has the power to transform teaching by ushering in a new model of connected teaching. This model links teachers to their students and to professional content, resources, and systems to help them improve their own instruction and personalize learning.”

Whether or not you’re a “tech guru,” a “Geek Squad wannabe” or a “tech newbie,” you can earn graduate credits after completing this course, while gaining proficiency in a tech tool which can be used to enhance your professional practice!

Learners Edge, in partnership with Augustana University, is offering a unique way for teachers to earn 3 graduate credits through our new TECH STUDY course!

Much like our Book Study and iCourse where teachers provide a textbook and receive approval for study, the Tech Study encourages teachers to explore their own chosen tech tool(s) that can be used to improve teaching and learning. It’s like creating your very own course.

Before beginning, teachers will seek approval to study the tech tool from Learners Edge. Once approved, teachers will follow the Tech Study syllabus requirements including demonstrating proficiency of the tool with colleagues or students.
