In this 3-course certificate program, you will develop strategies using the Validate-Affirm-Build-Bridge (VABB) framework to first acknowledge and honor your students’ diverse experiences, then build a bridge to rigorous academic and social standards. You’ll explore the importance of teaching academic language while implementing different scaffolds, vocabulary, and background knowledge activities.
