Steuben County Literacy Coalition & Teaching Channel:
Your Professional Development Journey

Welcome to your dedicated Professional Development (PD) portal, where you can access a selection of 3-hour courses designed to enhance your skills and support your role in the afterschool program. Through our partnership with Teaching Channel, you’ll have the opportunity to choose 7 courses from a catalog of 20, providing you with flexibility and a focus on the areas most relevant to your work.

How it Works:

1. Login:  Visit TeachingChannel.com, click Login at the top right, and select Course & Account Access

  • Returning Users:  Sign in with your email and password. 
  • First-Time Users: Follow the prompts on the right-hand side of the screen to Create a New Account. After creating your account, login and accept the Terms and Conditions.

2. Access Courses: Click on Welcome (Your Name) in the top right and select My Professional Learning Center (PLC) Courses.

3. Finalize Enrollment: Review the pre-approved list of courses your school offers and click Finalize Enrollment.

4. Add Courses: Follow the steps to register. Click Register+ to add the course to your cart.

5. Confirm Registration: You’ll see a confirmation message once your course is successfully added.

6. Start Learning: Go to My PLC Courses to access and start your course.

Note: Be sure to complete your registration before your school or district’s deadline.
