Strategies for Helping Students Follow Directions

When providing directions to students, it is important to keep students focused. Students do best when directions are provided verbally and visually. Emphasize the important steps by asking students to highlight and repeat the main tasks, and always leave a little time for questions! Think about the ways you go over directions in class and how you might provide more clarity or emphasis to keep students on track!
