What Is Your Why?

Ready or not, the 2019-2020 back-to-school season is upon us and in full swing. Whether classes resumed for you in August, or are just getting started now that we’re past Labor Day, it’s an exciting time for students and the professionals who support them each day.

In the spirit of the season, we thought it would be interesting (and fun) to share our passions and reasons we have chosen to work in education. It’s probably no surprise that we chose video as the best way to share our stories. The past couple of weeks have generated #MyWhy videos from a teacher, instructional coach, integration specialist, assistant principal, curriculum leader, superintendent and more.

The common thread throughout these videos? Kids. We wouldn’t do this work if we weren’t in it for them. They’re what motivates and drives us to be better. We’re proud to support teachers, coaches, and school and district leaders as they work to inspire students to achieve and become the best versions of themselves.

Watch the highlight video below to see clips from educators who participated in the #MyWhy campaign and continue to inspire us. You’ll also see video from our cofounder Michael Moody and me sharing our own “my why” stories. Thanks again to all who contributed to this effort.

Inspired by these videos and want to join in? Feel free to share your “why” via Twitter and use the #MyWhy hashtag and tag @InsightADVANCE.

Here’s to a successful 2019-2020 school year for all students and educators.
