Course Selection & Reimbursement Details

Dunlap CUSD is excited to partner with Teaching Channel with Learners Edge to offer high-quality, graduate-level courses as part of our Summer Professional Learning Community (PLC) Series. This initiative provides educators with opportunities to earn Professional Development (PD) hours, qualify for tuition reimbursement, and pursue lane advancement, all while engaging in impactful professional growth.

Pre-Approved Summer Courses to Choose From:

Educators have the flexibility to enroll in any course from Teaching Channel’s extensive catalog. However, for the Summer PLC Series, we are spotlighting two pre-approved courses: 

OL-5033 Support for Students in Behavioral Crises, $489, 3 credits

This course focuses on strategies to assist students during behavioral emergencies, emphasizing de-escalation techniques and support mechanisms. 

OL-5249 Mindsets and Math: Enjoyment and Achievement for All, $389, 2 credits

Explore approaches to cultivate positive mathematical mindsets, aiming to enhance student enjoyment and achievement in mathematics.

Benefits of Enrolling in Featured Courses:

  • Graduate-Level Credit: Earn credits that may contribute to further qualifications. 
  • PD Hours: Accumulate hours recognized by Dunlap CUSD for professional development. 
  • *Required: Participate in a 3-hour in-person PLC session to discuss course insights and their application within the district.

Important Dates

  • Registration & Course Approval Deadline: May 1st (for those seeking lane change for the upcoming semester). *Note: Educators not pursuing lane change may have extended deadlines.

  • Course Access: Materials become available immediately upon registration. 

  • Completion Requirement: Full completion of the course is mandatory to qualify for reimbursement. 

Summer PLC, must attend the 3 hr session when coming back in Fall to get reimbursement for the Summer PLC courses.

Course Approval & Reimbursement Process

To be eligible for tuition reimbursement or lane advancement, educators must adhere to Dunlap CUSD’s established approval procedures prior to course commencement.

Steps to Submit for Approval:

  1. Access Infinite Visions: Log in to the Infinite Visions portal. 
  2. Navigate to Self-Service: Click on the Self-Service tab. 
  3. Electronic Form Submission: Select the appropriate form from the dropdown menu and complete all required fields. 

Submission Timeline: Forms must be submitted at least 14 days before the course start date or tuition payment due date to ensure timely processing.

Reimbursement Guidelines

  • Credit Hour Limits:
    • Up to 15 hours per year reimbursed for educators without a master’s degree.
    • Up to 12 hours per year are reimbursed to educators with a master’s degree.
  • Evaluation Requirement: Educators must have received a proficient or higher evaluation to qualify for reimbursement.
