Goals and Objectives of this Course:
- Use prompts about essential content literacy skills to describe assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers and self, including how the information relates to professional education practice and growth.
- Design or participate in an activity to teach students how to summarize.
- Create an activity for students to collaborate on activities exploring cause and effect, or compare and contrast relationships.
- Implement an activity to support students in learning academic language in content areas.
- Challenge the status quo by reflecting on a claim using supporting evidence, evaluating the argument, and determining its credibility.
