Tools for Today’s School Counselors

Goals and Objectives of this Course:

  • Use provided prompts specific to school counseling to describe assumptions and insights of
    practitioners, researchers and self, including how the information relates to professional
    educational practice.
  • Design a framework for interrupting hate speech or actions.
  • Use a needs-based assessment to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families.
    Implement an activity for students to learn brain-science-based study skills.
  • Challenge the status quo by using Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies to address student challenges.
