Substitute Classroom Management Plan Template

Often, classroom teachers will leave information about the classroom management plan used in the school and/or classroom. If the teacher for whom you are subbing provides a classroom management plan, review it, and then, do your best to follow it. Pay special attention to information about students who may struggle with behavior.

If the teacher does not leave a classroom management plan, you should develop and use your own. We’ve provided a template for you with examples and a Quick Print Classroom Management Plan at the end of this document.

As you read this resource, imagine yourself in a scenario where you were greeted by someone other than who you expected. How did it make you feel? What helped you to be more comfortable in that situation? Can you apply this as you fill in the template?
