Goals and Objectives of this Course:
- Use prompts about growth mindsets to describe assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers and self, including how the information relates to professional education practice and growth.
- Design a pre-assessment tool for students or colleagues to measure whether they have a growth or fixed mindset.
- Collaborate with a colleague to discuss the connections between mindsets and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Implement information for families, colleagues or students that explains how failure, mistakes, motivation, grit, and productive struggle are part of a growth mindset.
- Challenge the status quo related to growth mindsets by creating learning tasks designed to develop students’ beliefs about intelligence.
