Goals and Objectives of this Course:
- Reflect on assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers and self, specific to research on neurodiversity, in professional practice.
- Apply effective strategies for teaching students who are neurodiverse.
- Define neurodiversity.
- Differentiate between a deficit model and a diversity model.
- Recognize the gifts associated with students who are neurodiverse.
- Realize the large number of neurodiverse role models for students.
