Goals and Objectives of this Course:

• Reflect on assumptions and insights of practitioners, researchers and self, specific to research on neurodiversity, in professional practice.
• Apply effective strategies for teaching students who are neurodiverse.
• Define neurodiversity.
• Differentiate between a deficit model and a diversity model.
• Recognize the gifts associated with students who are neurodiverse.
• Realize the large number of neurodiverse role models for students.
