After the chaos of this school year, many educators are feeling worn down, exhausted, or even burned out. Learn strategies for dealing with uncertainty and stressful situations as Susan Lubar and Wendy Amato discuss ways that educators can incorporate mindfulness into their existing classroom schedules both for themselves and their students. Susan Lubar, President and Founder of Growing Minds, is a pioneer in bringing wellness strategies to Milwaukee area schools. Her mission is to facilitate the integration of mindfulness-based strategies that increase educator wellbeing and result in more connected relationships with students and kinder classroom cultures.

Our Host

Dr. Wendy Amato earned her Master’s in Education and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. She holds an MBA from James Madison University. Wendy began teaching in 1991, has served as a Middle School Administrator, and still teaches at UVA’s School of Education. She has delivered teacher professional development workshops and student leadership workshops in the US and internationally. Wendy and her family live near Charlottesville, Virginia.
