In this episode of Teaching Channel Talks, Wendy is sitting down with Tammy Boyer, M.Ed. to discuss leadership behaviors and priorities, including how collaborative leadership might impact the teacher shortages and rising educator turnover happening across the country.

Our Guest

Tammy Boyer earned her Master’s in Education from the American College of Education (ACE) and is currently working toward her doctorate. In her strategic partner development role with ACE, Tammy works directly with professional learning organizations like Learners Edge, establishing pathways to equate their programs to graduate-level courses at ACE. As a former teacher and administrator, she understands the importance of collaborative leadership in schools.

Our Host

Dr. Wendy Amato earned her Master’s in Education and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia. She holds an MBA from James Madison University. Wendy began teaching in 1991, has served as a Middle School Administrator, and still teaches at UVA’s School of Education. She has delivered teacher professional development workshops and student leadership workshops in the US and internationally. Wendy and her family live near Charlottesville, Virginia.
