Health Education for Students’ Lifelong Wellness

Health Education for Students’ Lifelong Wellness.

Whether you are a classroom generalist, a dedicated health and/or physical education teacher, a school psychologist, a social worker, counselor, and a school nurse, this wellness course walks you through the ways you can bring students from curious, to knowledgeable.

As you begin the course, you will discover how the health of students, teachers, and schools impact learning. Next, you will customize your learning with a unique feature of this course: “pick your pathway.” You will select from three paths with assignments geared towards the needs of your students: Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary (Middle and High) School.

Follow your chosen pathway to explore the power of connection in the classroom, the impact of screen time on learning, how to dispel the stigma of mental illness, and how educators can offer support. Learn how to encourage students to make small changes that will have big impacts on their lives, their learning, and their wellness. Wrap up the course by considering health advocacy strategies, creating safe spaces for courageous conversations, and gaining ideas for facilitating sensitive topics. Teach your students about the power of health in this first-of-its-kind course from Learners Edge.
