Boeing Webinars: Inspiring the Next Century of Innovators

August Webinar with Teaching Channel, WGBH, and PBS LearningMedia

Last month, PBS Learning Media, WGBH, and Teaching Channel partnered to co-host a webinar on Engineering and the Design Process: Real-World Classroom Resources. The interactive, hour-long event provided an opportunity for classroom practitioners to converse with our combined team of classroom educators and curriculum experts.

Wow! What a turn out! Over 800 registrants AND we maxed out the webinar platform!

It was truly exciting to be a part of this conversation around best practices associated with the Engineering Design Process and the Next Generation Science Standards. If you were “locked out” or were otherwise unable to attend our recent webinar focusing on engineering design, don’t fret. You’re in luck — we recorded it! Check out this lively conversation that included teachers involved in the creation and classroom implementation of the Science and Innovation Modules.

In addition to Teaching Channel’s growing list of Engineering Design Process resources, PBS Learning Media’s Aerospace Engineering collection and the Boeing Science and Innovation modules were also highlighted throughout the interactive chat. All resources mentioned during the webinar are free and readily available for easy implementation in your classroom right now.

September EdWeek Webinar with Teaching Channel and Boeing

This month, Teaching Channel and Boeing have teamed up with EdWeek to bring you another exciting webinar experience, Using Basic Classroom Materials to Inspire the Next Century of Innovators.

Join us on Wednesday, September 28, 11:00 AM PDT / 2:00 PM EDT, to explore how ordinary classroom materials and hands on DIY learning can become the basis for inspiring STEM-oriented lessons that are linked to your curriculum. We’ll also hear from an engineering practitioner about how design challenges in the classroom can be valuable applications of real world skills for the workplace.

You don’t want to miss this. Register here to join the conversation.

As always, we at Teaching Channel are looking for ways to get better together. If you need assistance or have comments or concerns, please feel free to post a note below.

I look forward to continuing this rich conversation!
