Almost exactly a year ago, we celebrated the registration of Teaching Channel’s 10,000th member. So, imagine how thrilled I am to tell you that over the weekend we saw the 100,000th member join our wonderful, robust community of educators.
Those of us who work at Teaching Channel remind ourselves every day that our mission is to elevate and celebrate great teaching, and we are constantly striving to make the site more useful to you.
But, what makes Teaching Channel better each and every day is your involvement within our community. We carefully read all of your comments on our videos and pour over the opinions you share in our regular Tchers’ Voice surveys.
We couldn’t be more pleased to know that so many of you (more than 70%) are trying ideas and strategies you’ve seen in our videos in your own classrooms – and even more encouraged to hear that 90% of you who have tried something from Tch in your classroom are seeing positive results.
Let me share a couple more numbers that have all of us at Tch very excited right now—on average, more than 1,000 educators are now registering on Teaching Channel every day. And in the month of October, members of our community viewed more than one million pages on our site.
While all of these numbers give us the sense that we are creating something that is helping so many of you – we know there is a lot more work to be done.
But, right now we really want to take a moment to celebrate YOU: your interest in improving your practice, in striving to find new ways to educate our young people, and for making a difference in students’ lives every day.
