Dorothy Fest, a native Californian, brings with her over 30 years as an educator. In her role, as District Support Manager, she is pleased to support California school districts in bringing comprehensive professional development for their educators that will bridge their entire life as a teacher. Dorothy’s passion for teaching began in S.F. Bay Area preschools as a teaching assistant while attending U.C. Berkeley, where she attained her Bachelor’s of Science degree. To fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher, she received her Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential at C.S.U. San Francisco. Subsequently, she moved to Long Beach, California to begin her professional career with Long Beach Schools. Her experience in the classroom – as a first grade teacher, sparked a hunger to continually seek knowledge that would improve her teaching. In the course of her career, she trained 20 student teachers, designed and led Professional Development at a district and regional level, and served on a variety of District wide committees.
