Guide Students Through the Product Design Process With SCAMPER

Sometimes making something new begins with a product you already know. When you SCAMPER, you work to think of ways you can change a product into something of your very own!

Use the SCAMPER activity below with your students to change an existing product into something entirely new. The SCAMPER questions will guide your students through the process and have them describe what they’ve made!

This SCAMPER activity allows students to drive their own learning through design processes, so they can change the world! Discover more instructional strategies and activities just like this one in Course 5626: Innovative Makerspaces for All Students. Whether you work with a makerspace or want to create one, this course will help you to bring additional innovation to your students’ learning experience.
