I have taught middle school mathematics for nine years in Philadelphia and Boston. I am a proud graduate of Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in elementary education. I am the founder of Identity Talk Consulting, LLC, an independent educational consulting firm that provides professional development and consulting services to educators globally. I’m also the author of Shaping the Teacher Identity: 8 Lessons That Will Help Define the Teacher in You, a self-help book for teachers looking to define their roles as agents of change in the classroom. My areas of interest include new teacher development and culturally responsive pedagogy.
