Brooke Perry is an English Language Arts TOSA in Kent School District, WA, where she's been a classroom teacher for six years. She supports third — sixth grade teachers in the implementation of the district's new ELA curriculum. As a Puget Sound Teacher Leader, Brooke writes about the Common Core, effective teaching strategies, and assessment practices for CORElaborate; a blog hosted by the Puget Sound Educational Service District. She is a member of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Teacher Advisory Council and worked to introduce ECET2 to the Seattle area. Brooke is a Co-founder, Director, and Writing Coach for National Blogging Collaborative, an organization dedicated to helping teachers find their authentic voice, join the conversation, and contribute to the national education narrative.
